This moon jar is unlike any other piece in my online shop. I usually throw and hand-build using mid-range stoneware, but this moon jar was part of a collection I threw from high-fire clays and finished in a gas reduction kiln at cone 10. White, yellow, and clear glazes were layered to achieve the cool, bright horizon lines that elevate the vessel’s simple form. This was the only moon jar in this unique firing. ✨ 7 × 8 inch.
