This low-profile, large serving bowl was thrown from dark brown stoneware. The interior of the bowl features endless texture and depth, with a glossy, speckled green glaze that allows an ombre of yellow to chartreuse underglaze to emerge from below. The underside of the bowl is finished in a grounding teal. ✨ 12 × 2.75 inch.

Landis Carey is a ceramic artist who processes life in clay. Throwing, hand-building, carving, and experimental glazing are meditative practices that bring heightened awareness and understanding to her observations.
Landis Carey is a resident artist at Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach, Florida, USA. She has been wheel-throwing and handbuilding with clay for over 20 years. Her practice is rooted in functional pottery.
