The clear and black glaze I chose for this vessel was an experiment. I was curious whether the black glaze would run and lose its composure if combined with a high-gloss clear glaze—it didn’t. The black glaze maintained its crisp line while receding along the carved edges, revealing the soft white of the stoneware below. I’m thrilled with how ambient light plays off every edge of this piece.
This stoneware vase is dishwasher-safe.
