Color Study Collection 6 originates from a larger body of work by ceramic artist Landis Carey, created in response to a color vision she experienced in the fall of 2023, in which she felt an expanding, calm hope. Deep aquas fluctuated in saturation and translucency, ebbing into calming blues and expansive greens. Color Study Collection 6 comprises six ceramic surfaces that illustrate the middle-toned hues of her meditation, transforming her calming experience into another one for the viewer.
