Mountainous landscapes emerge from this vase’s glaze combination. Do you see the Great Smoky Mountains, also? After layering two glazes on the lower portion of this vessel, this piece was entirely dipped in clear glaze, which caused the glazes to run, forming mountainous undulations along the piece’s middle just below the clay body’s creamy, rich white.
