Color Study Collection 8 originates from a larger body of work created by ceramic artist Landis Carey in response to a color vision she experienced in the fall of 2023, in which she felt a sense of expanding calm hope. Deep aquas fluctuated in saturation and translucency, ebbing into calming blues and expansive greens. Collection 8 comprises three ceramic surfaces that capture the most intense hues that the artist experienced in meditation. Deep blues transition into quas and turquoise, all with glassy and textured surfaces.
